In my first project, I worked with Architects and other Engineers to explore the definition of “Equilibria” and express it in a sculpture using all the material given to us. This involved working together to discuss and develop abstract ideas, as well as hands-on construction in the workshop. We encountered several problems along the way. In one particular instance, I took initiative by approximating the moments in the 1:20 model before scaling it up to the 1:1 model, hence giving us the belief to progress with creating the full 1:1 scale sculpture.
